MOBILTEX - New Textile Materials for the Vehicle Industry - Chemnitz

From 9-11 June 2004 185  textile and car supplying experts from three countries met for the first time in Chemnitz. With the EU enlargement the biggest conurbation of the textile industry in Europe is created within the regions near the border of Poland, the Czech Republic and Saxony. In addition to that a lot of car manufacturers and sub-suppliers have been established in all three countries. That is why innovative textile materials meet a promising market.

The most important results from reports, workshops, excursions and product presentations which were supported by the "Federal Ministry of Education and Research" are:

  • Annual continuation of the Forum, alternating in the three countries, 2nd Mobiltex-Meeting will be held in Liberec in 2005
  • Preparation of new research projects and KMU-Cooperations
  • The tying up of new textile companies into the Saxony car supplying network (www.amz-sachsen.de)
